Certified Organic ginger
Mason Jar or any screw-top glass jar
Vodka, sake, dry sherry, or rice wine (pick your weapon)
- Use a paring knife, vegetable peeler, or the edge of a spoon to scrape away the thin skin. Remove any dried or blemished areas. You can cut the ginger into large chunks or leave it whole.
- Place peeled ginger in the jar. Cover with enough alcohol to completely submerge it. Screw the top on the jar and store it in the fridge.
If using booze isn’t the thing for you, try storing your ginger in a air tight bag and place it in the crisper drawer in your refrigerator!
